New Table!
Gabe • gabe • new kitchen!
I got a table!  A dining table!  It fits 6 comfortably when the leaves are not in, and when they are I bet I could squeeze in 12-14 people.  I am stoked for the dinner party opportunities, of course now I need to buy another 4 chairs.

Gabe, you’re such a dork. The table looks awesome and seems like it could easily double as a beer pong platform.

Yeah, it will definitely be beer pong during parties. It is about as long as our tournament table in college, which is to say, pretty long.

Also, the middle picture is with the leaves in, it doesnt look as good that way, but at least you can get more people at the table.

Nice, I like the angle your living space is taking on with all the wood. It may be one of the classier things that pong will be played on.

Nice table. Where’d you get it? What’s it made out of?

We wanted to get a reclaimed wood table built, but this saved us about $4-5k by getting this one at Pottery Barn. It is the benchwright table and it is made of Birch.

I originally wanted something with 1 1/2″ thick table slab and big overdone industrial construction, but this table is solidly built and I think it will only look better as it ages and I treat it poorly, and once I upgrade it to something perfect, it will still be a great table for a desk or somesuch.
